Cialis Together for Erectile Dysfunction

Cialis Together tablets are a treatment for adult men who have erection problems (erectile dysfunction). This is when a man cannot get, or keep an erection hard enough for satisfactory sexual activity.

Cialis Together tablets contain the active substance tadalafil. It belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in your penis, allowing blood flow into your penis.

It is important to know that you will not get an erection just by taking Cialis Together tablets. This medicine works with your body’s natural function to get an erection only when you are sexually stimulated.

Cialis Together contains the active ingredient Tadalafil. The ingredient is a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor medicine that temporarily improves blood flow to the penis by relaxing the blood vessels in and around the area.

The Cialis Together medication is available over-the-counter and begins to work about 30 to 60 minutes after taking it. The effects are expected to last up to 36 hours. Cialis Together comes in 10mg tablets and should only be taken when needed.

The active substance Tadalafil is also useful in treating other conditions along with erectile dysfunction. Please consult a Doctor, a Pharmacist or relevant product literature for more information.

Abstract

The clinical experience in the use of CIALIS is limited and, therefore, the therapeutic effect should not be ascribed to its effect on the patient.

Patients with a history of hypertension should not use CIALIS with nitrates because they may increase the risk of stroke and cardiac events. Patients with hypertension should use an oral CIALIS tablet at the lowest possible dose and should be advised to take a daily CIALIS tablet as recommended by the manufacturer. This is the dose that is most often used.

The manufacturer recommends that CIALIS be used for up to 10 days after a patient has taken nitrates.

CIALIS is a brand name for the medicinal product NOVITRATE (Oral Controlled Oral Controlled Oral Drug) marketed under the brand name Cialis. It is available in the following forms: tablets, oral solution, ointment, oral granules, and ointment containing 5% glycerol. The brand name NOVITRATE (Oral Controlled Oral Drug) has been discontinued as of 30 June 1998.

The following are available in the form of oral solutions and granules.

Cautions

For patients with cardiovascular disease (as well as a history of hypertension) the dose is recommended to be increased to a maximum of 20 mg once daily. Patients with a history of heart attack, stroke, or arrhythmias, patients with severe hepatic dysfunction, or patients with serious renal impairment are not recommended to use CIALIS. Patients with a history of seizures and/or a history of drug abuse, for example alcohol or tobacco, are not recommended to use CIALIS. Patients with severe hepatic impairment should not be recommended to use CIALIS.

CIALIS is not indicated for patients with liver disease. Patients with severe renal impairment should be advised not to use CIALIS. Patients with a history of hepatic dysfunction, and patients with a history of drug abuse, for example alcohol or tobacco, are not recommended to use CIALIS.

Adverse reactions

The following adverse reactions have been reported in association with the use of NOVITRATE in patients with hypertension.

Interactions

A. Top Drug-Drug Interactions:

1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. It is contraindicated to use Cialis with nitrates or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrites).

2.Alpha-blockers (e.g., prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin): Both Cialis and alpha-blockers relax blood vessels, which can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction when used together. This may result in dizziness, fainting, or orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing). If needed, your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend spacing the medications.

3.Other antihypertensive drugs (e.g., atenolol, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril): Cialis can enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effects of these medications. While this interaction is usually less severe than with nitrates or alpha-blockers, it can still cause dizziness or fainting in sensitive individuals. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended.

Other Drug-Drug interactions:

  • Ketoconazole, itraconazole (used to manage fungal infection)
  • Protease inhibitors (used to manage HIV infection) Ex. ritonavir, lopinavir
  • Phenobarbital, phenytoin, carbamazepine (medicines used for fits)
  • Rifampicin, erythromycin, clarithromycin (medicines used for bacterial infections)
  • Other medicines used to improve blood flow to the penis (Ex. sildenafil)

B. Drug-Food Interactions:

Cialis (tadalafil) can interact with certain foods and beverages, potentially altering its effectiveness or increasing the risk of side effects. Here are the key drug-food interactions to be aware of:

  1. Grapefruit and Grapefruit Juice: Grapefruit can increase the levels of tadalafil in your blood by interfering with its metabolism. This may amplify side effects, such as headaches, dizziness, or low blood pressure. Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking Cialis.
  2. Alcohol: Drinking alcohol with Cialis can enhance the blood pressure-lowering effects of the medication, leading to symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting. Limiting alcohol intake is recommended while using Cialis.
  3. High-Fat Meals: While Cialis can be taken with or without food, consuming it with a high-fat meal may delay its onset of action. Opt for lighter meals if rapid effectiveness is needed.
  4. Caffeine: Though not a direct interaction, combining Cialis with high caffeine intake might worsen side effects like headaches or increase heart rate in sensitive individuals.
Mainakings:
  • Cialis: The popular impotence pill topiramateomine, also known as tadalafil, is used to treat depression and anxiety. It may also improve side effects like headaches.
  • Alpha-blockers: alpha-blockers like alprostadil or piroquel, used to relieve headaches, prostatitis, nasal congestion, and arthritis, can enhance blood pressure-lowering effects of Cialis.
  • Claritonimulsive: Take Cialis with phenobarbital to treat an schizophrenia. Do not take Cialis in combination with phenobarbital.
  • Edropamomine: Edropamomine is an antifungal medication used to treat vaginal yeast infections caused by yeast infections other than genital tract.

Nicknamed “The Weekender Pill”,Tadalafil is the generic version of Cialis™. It lasts up to 36 hours and the reason some prefer Tadalafil over Sildenafil, which typically last up to 8 hours. Please select your preferred dosage and number of pills.
